So sad to be leaving Liverpool, but onto Manchester we go! If I could stay here in this hotel room for the next five months, no question about it I would. I simply can’t get over the view or even the feel of this place. I think I might just belong here?

Goodbye room with a view:(

The bus picked us up pretty early in the morning, that way we could make the ride to Media City in good timing. It was our day to visit the big ole’ BBC! The university of Salford wasn’t bad. It seemed like they were trying to show off a lot of their studios and equipment, but I think Point Park offers relatively the same things.

Talking to James was a huge turning point from me. Before this lecture, most of the media visits we had been on focused on these high up professionals with glamorous jobs. Don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing that stuff, but none of them really talked about how they got to where they are now. That’s what I liked about James, he told us how when he graduated he had no idea what he wanted to do. He kind of just tried out new jobs and experiences until he found one he liked and then moved up from there. It gives me hope for my career in the future.

The BBC tour was awesome. Our tour guides were super friendly and knew how to keep our attention. We got to visit places that Jeff Goldblum sat, see drum kits that the Arctic Monkeys played on, and even visited a real life television studio.

Annnnnd that’s the tea

Once we finished our tour it was back on the bus and off to the hotel. We were only staying in Manchester for one night, that way we could all be ready to catch our flight bright and early tomorrow.
