Happy Mums Day

It’s Mother’s Day and I’m sadly not with my mom. As much as I wish she could be here in Liverpool with me, I know she’s happy just seeing me enjoying my time here.

Celebrating Mums

Today is the Beatles Tour that a lot of us have been looking forward too. We spent the morning getting to see some different sites associated with the Beatles. Though I wish we saw more than just Ringo Starrs family house and such, it was an okay tour. My favorite part was definitely visiting the graveyard where Paul would sit and write songs. It was interesting to me to learn the backstories to a lot of the titles of his songs, and how he would get them from random peoples tombstones.

After our tour was over we were given the rest of the night to do as we please. Some people decided to venture to this junkyard mini golf place, which sounded fun, but I chose to spend some time alone instead. I explored the area where our hotel was for a while and then eventually found a cute bench right near the water. I sat down, listened to some music and just reflected on life for a while.

I think one of the most important things to remember when you’re abroad is to take a few seconds each day to yourself. Take in the sights, smells, people around you, just life in general. Especially on a trip like this when we are currently running around, it is hard to remember to just breathe for a few seconds.

Golden Hour, Liverpool

Overall this has been my favorite day so far on this trip. I spent the next hour or so roaming around taking pictures. I love Liverpool and I can say for a fact I will be making my way back here someday soon. I don’t think any of my pictures truly do it justice.
