Day Seven: I drank four cups of English Breakfast tea today…

Our free morning could not have come at a better time than it did in Liverpool. Nothing felt better than waking up without an alarm and having time to do things at our own pace. Around 11:15, we ventured out to find a breakfast place because we just weren’t feeling the hotel breakfast.

In our adventure to the dinner place last night, we discovered a breakfast spot outside of the hotel located within the dock that we wanted to check out. This little place is called Peaberry’s Coffee House. Inside, I ordered an entire pot of English Breakfast tea to go along with my cinnamon french toast donut. My total tea consumption was 4 cups at 11 a.m., whoops. I’ve come to the realization that European food is just 10x better than American food and that’s the tea. Ha, get it?

After regrouping with everyone we embarked on our motorcoach to get a full Beatles tour. As someone who never really listened to the Beatles, I was skeptical as to how I would understand what was going on within this tour.

Our tour guide, Joey, despite having a strong Scouse accent, was absolutely fantastic. I feel as if I learned more about the Beatles today than I’ve ever known about them in my lifetime which is quite impressive.

The three-hour tour left us feeling restless, but ready for adventure. After hitting the final stop at The Cavern Club, Angela and I found ourselves in a huge shopping complex near the hotel. Seeing as it was around 4:15, we decided to quickly go to Primark (they closed at 5).

Spending £37.50 on a bundle of clothing did not seem like a bad idea, especially because we don’t have Primark near us in the States. #NoRegrets?

Everyone knows the next step after shopping is to go home and try it all on. We ventured back to the hotel after making a quick Starbucks trip to try all of our new clothing on.

A little rest and relaxation was what we needed before we headed out to explore the area around us (and take much needed Instagram pictures, of course). After our Insta-journey, we decided to go to dinner at a place called What’s Cooking right next to our hotel. The night was finished in the best way possible… with a cheeseburger and french fries.
