London. Day 2. Exhaustion has fully set in. Jet lag is real… and it HURTS. Caffeine has become my new best friend (as if it wasn’t already).
On to bigger and brighter things though, we had our first media visit today. Flashback to two years ago, I remember when I was first applying to study abroad I actually looked at coming to London for a semester. In the end however I stuck with my roots in Italy, and though I’d never undo it, it was cool getting to see Regents University (which would’ve been my choice had I picked London). Long story short their campus is beautiful, made me a bit sad to be stuck in the city constantly.
A few of us decided we would take our free time and make our way over to the London Eye. We decided to walk cause why not? (I mean how else were we going to burn off all the gnocchi we ate for lunch). A few miles later and we ended up in Trafalgar Square.
*Disclaimer: as a photographer I can’t help it but to insert one too many pictures in my blog, so just try and stay with me here*
Took a nice 30 min ride on the London eye. Not someone who is scared of heights but I definitely did not enjoy when it would make very short but frequent stops (especially when we were at the very top). The view was incredible though. Kind of sad the weather was cloudy and not more clear but overall a sight to see.
Stumbled upon this cute little outdoor hangout called “Underbelly Festival.” Spent the rest of the night there enjoying the warm weather.
