67 flights and several miles later..

Our final full day of the trip is here. It’s weird cause even after everything we’ve been doing exhaustion still hasn’t stopped me. Most of the group planned on making their way over to Arthur’s Seat today, the huge mountain in Edinburg. However a few of us didn’t want to wake up that early so we split up into smaller groups.

Dara, Diego and I made the 45 min walk to the mountain, took a nice long look at it from the ground floor, and the rest was history. You really have no idea just how steep these steps were that we had to climb to the top. It was unlike anything I’ve really seen before, and I consider myself an avid hiker back home.

The steps actually only took you so far…in fact from a certain point forward you had to basically climb your way up. We didn’t mind though, we came prepared for an adventurous day.

I wish I could explain how beautiful the view was from the top, but I don’t think you can truly appreciate it until you see it for yourself. You basically look down on all of Scotland.

Out of all twelve days on this trip, this one was beyond my favorite. In fact, this would be a day I would remember forever. Just finding a patch of grass, sitting down with two of my favorite people, and simply admiring the view for as long as we wanted was something money can’t buy. It truly is the simple things in life. Times like these is when it is sooo very important to just take a second and breathe. We have been running around this whole trip, but now was our moment to just realize we were actually in Scotland? On top of a mountain? On a beautiful clear blue skied day? Like was all of this real?
