Quick..someone teach me how to speak with a Scottish accent. Edinburgh here we come! Ugh, I have never been so excited to be somewhere. Don’t get me wrong England was beautiful, but I have been looking forward to Scotland for months now.
The bus ride from the airport to the hotel it was pretty clear, I was going to LOVE my time here. We were staying in the cutest little town square, which made it so convenient to explore.
We had a few minutes to throw our suitcases into our rooms, change, and then meet in the lobby for our castle tour. Let me just tell you, Scotland is not somewhere you want to be if you don’t like exercise. Many flights of steps were climbed in order to reach the castle.
You don’t realize how massive the Castle is until you walk inside the gates. They basically have a whole separate town in there. The views from it were simply amazing, which makes sense considering it’s basically on top of Scotland.
The weather today was incredible too. Blue skies and warm temperatures. So warm in fact that ice cream was much needed after walking around the Edinburg castle.
We met up with a Scottish tour guide after who took us down the Royal Mile. This was where a lot of shops and restaurants were located. Not only that but the buildings were all old and historical, keeping with the true beauty of Scotland.
