Liverpool Sick Day

I woke up feeling worse than I have in over a year. I’m pretty sure this was the result of a sinus infection, and man, it was brutal. I was absolutely miserable for our Beatles Tour. I wanted, more than anything, to stay in bed that day and not go outside. I could have watched TV and rested all day, but instead I spent the day moving from place to place in a hot bus to see places where the Beatles grew up. This could have been an interesting tour if I wasn’t feeling awful but instead it was a chore.

None of the places we went on this tour were near enough to the city for me to be able to go to a pharmacy and get medicine. There also weren’t enough places to go to the bathroom, which was a big problem because the only way my throat didn’t hurt was if I chugged water. On the plus side, the tour guide was really nice and knew a lot of cool trivia about the Beatles. I don’t like guided tours though. I am someone who wants to move at their own pace and not with a group. I’d rather watch a documentary about the Beatles than trudge around town blocking traffic.

When I got back to the hotel I opted to stay in and miss going to mini golf. It was definitely the right decision considering how sick I was but I definitely felt like I was missing out. However, my fever really started to rock my world after about an hour or so of being in the hotel. I can’t imagine how bad I would have felt if I had gone out.

I can’t say that the day was entirely bad, my fever dreams were pretty fun.
