Day 3: Media Day

Today was the day we had all been waiting for… to finally not be jet lagged and it couldn’t have come at a better time. We had a full day of visiting media agencies on our schedule. Battenhall and Burson Cohn and Wolfe are the first agencies we got to experience in the United Kingdom.

We started at Battenhall, and seeing this agency was incredible to say the least. Being one of the first Public Relations agencies I’ve ever been to they set the bar extremely high. Starting with being wonderful hosts, the agency then sent in professional from multiple departments across the firm to talk to us and brief us on what they do.

It was interesting to hear the level of influencers they have to deal with. Influencers being a relatively new concept has exploded recently dealing with someone that has that level of

I loved everything about this agency from it being focused on social media to the unlimited vacation and remote working. The agency seems to put its employees first, and how they can bring the most out of their teams.

The next agency was Burson Cohn and Wolfe, and it was amazing to experience. This lecture wasn’t as much as a sit down and listen as the first ones were. They sent in a team that showed us some of their projects and they produce some incredible marketing campaigns.

After they we split us into some teams and gave us a task of coming up with some idea of who to target in a new campaign and how to reach that audience.
