Alright so, it was a long day, I was very tired… still working on the jet lag. We had to wake up around 7am to leave by nine. However, today we spent all day in meetings. We met first with Battenhall which is are brand communications experts in social media and PR and Ad etc. I think the coolest thing I learned here was the 20% rule where employees can take one in five hours to work on side projects.
I wish that existed here in the states, it seemed everybody loves working there. Everyone seemed really excited about what they were doing there, even the data analysis guy!
Then we took a lunch break.
We then visited BCW which is an a collective of technologists, makers and thinkers who connect with agencies and brands across the globe.
The most fascinating part to me was how they track what their audience is looking for in terms of content and how to match that with the influencers or celebrities that they work with. I also liked how they gave us cookies to munch on and just, how nice they were in answering questions and taking time out of their day to speak to us.
The takeaway from today’s meetings is to always know your audience… a common theme you will find throughout these blogs i might add.
Then we had the rest of the day to hangout and do what we want. So, we decided to eat dinner and go out for drinks. That was fun, it was a latin bar according to my friends here.
That was alright, they played some pretty good bangers not going to lie… we were supposed to go to karaoke with the gang and David but the entrance fee was not worth the hour of karaoke… whoops.
I don’t know, there’s not too much about this day besides being in meetings all day…
