Day Four: It rained & we napped

Waking up early continues to suck and I’m slowly dying of exhaustion constantly. So, we went to see Hearst which is a magazine company?? It was dope honestly, they had more than cookies so I was super stoked.

I was most excited about this visit so far because it had more to do with my degree. I mean, all of the visits I was able to get something out of but this was more intriguing because it’s editorial/magazine stuff.

Hearst UK is a media owning publisher that publishes the likes of ELLE and Harpers Bazaar. There was a lot to say about this visit because it took all day and was split into multiple parts.

I liked the tour of the building (their bathrooms were super high tech) and the panel session we did with Kenya, Jess, Sarah, Toby and Amy. It was nice of them to take time to answer our questions. Then we heard from Julian and Oonagh. And then there was the Goof Housekeeping Tour (I didn’t understand) but it was cool to know they test everything.

I think I learned the most at this visit (so far), it was cool to see the “behind the scenes” into what goes into creating a story with fashion, models and their environments.

The rest of the day was ours.

So then we spent the rest of the day taking a NAP because everyone was basically dying of exhaustion.

We went out to dinner and drinks. I got the most minimal amount of sleep needless to say.
