Today was a sad, sad day. Today marked the end of our journey across the United Kingdom, or as I like to call it, Great Britain. We had an early meeting time for our flight, but I had to stay up until 5:00 am for the release of Tyler, The Creator’s new album, IGOR. I probably should have gone to bed sooner, but I was honestly too excited about the album to fall asleep. Plus, I figured I would be able to sleep on the plane. I will say that the album did not disappoint, and it was worth the loss of sleep. If you love yourself at all, please listen to this album.
I was exhausted by the time we got to the airport, and I have never looked forward to sitting on a plane more than I had by the time we got through security. We had a connecting flight in London, but it ended up being pretty delayed. I will be honest, I wasn’t too upset about the delays, because I got to sleep more. I have so many fond memories of sleeping on airport floors.
After a long, sixteen hour day, we finally made it back to Pittsburgh. It was so sad leaving the UK, but I was happy to be coming back to Pittsburgh at the same time. I am so glad to have had this opportunity to travel with this group of people. It was hard to say goodbye to all of my new friends, but luckily we’ll all be reunited in a few months.
